7th Anniversary
Dear friends and supporters,
4th August was the 7th anniversary for the Cisarua Refugee Learning Centre (CRLC). It started as a small school but it was built on a big idea; to accompany refugees for as long as they needed. We knew we had to be ready to continue for many years.
To grow this idea we needed support, and this financial year, across two campaigns, we raised $80,000, paying for the core functions of five learning Centre (one in Bangkok) and a karate club, and engaging over 1000 students and 100 volunteer teachers for one year.
Thank you so much for the amazing support.
We’re focused on connecting people in Afghanistan with various visa and escape possibilities. There will be a lot of work in the coming months.

Particularly this week and the previous one has been shocking and devastating for everyone in our community. Most are Hazara from Afghanistan and they are all personally affected. Those people in the videos racing to Kabul airport are friends, family and colleagues.
We are in contact with many inside Afghanistan and are doing our best to help them get out of the country. Those who worked with the US and Australia may be able to get a visa, but first we need to find a way for them to reach a third country.
We expect more refugees to arrive in Indonesia and we know that, after 7 years, the community in Cisarua will be there to support them when they do.
Thank you so much, especially right now, for helping us fulfil our ongoing commitment to the refugee community.
Sincerely,
Muzafar , Jolyon and Tahira
