The story of Cisarua Learning in a booklet

We’re about to launch a crowdfunding campaign and created this booklet to go with it. You can click on the images to see it at full size.

The campaign is still in soft-launch stage, but you can see more here or below the images. Every donor will receive a booklet, which will include a DVD and digital copy of The Staging Post.

Refugee-led initiatives provide essential psycho-social support for refugees stuck on long and difficult journey’s. The agency, education and experience they gain will benefit them wherever they end up, and their initiative provide a powerful model and example for other refugee communities around the world.

We are so proud of all their work, and thank you for all your support and friendship. It has given us the energy and enthusiasm to continue with our initiative, and to spread our idea that refugees can be part of the solution.

It has been over 15 months since we have run a crowdfunding campaign, and now we need your help one more time.

Many of you know that the Cisarua Refugee Learning Centre (CRLC) inspired a refugee-led education revolution in Indonesia and this fundraiser will support many of those initiatives, including

  • 12 months expenses for the Cisarua Refugee Learning Centre

  • 12 months of rent and materials for the Refugee Learning Nest

  • 12 months of rent and materials for Refugee Learning Centre

  • 12 months gym fees for the Karate Club.

It will also support and help facilitate

  • co-ordination events between refugee-led schools in Indonesia

  • upcoming visits by UTS education lecturers and students

  • a part-time co-ordinator for our online advanced education program

  • Muzafar, Tahira and Jolyon to continue to advocate for refugee-led initiatives.

Please donate early to the campaign to encourage others to join.

Want to become a team member and run your own fundraiser?

We will help you as much as we can; Film screenings, Skype connections. Community Presentations, Work events, anything you can think of, big and small, we would love to hear from you.

This is just the beginning!

Thank you very much,

Jolyon, Muzafar and Tahira. Program Officers, Cisarua Learning
